Welcome to the Power Collections project
Hello!
Welcome to the PowerCollections project. What is PowerCollections? It's really the brain-child of Brad Abrams, who describes the genesis of the project in this post. Basically, I'm going to try to augment the set of generic collections that are provided in .Net 2.0 with additional collections and algorithms that will be generally useful.
Along the way, I'm going to try to develop these collections "in the open", so to speak, and let all of you see what I'm doing and provide feedback along the way, if you are willing to provide it. This is new way of working for me, and it's probably going to take a little while for me to figure out how to make the feedback process work well for all of us. One thing I can promise: I'll be reading all the feedback that I get, and trying to respond to as much of it as I can.
Of course, the buck has to stop somewhere, and I'm sure that some of you will disagree with the design decisions that I make. All I can do is hope to clearly explain why I made the decisions that I make, and I'll be doing that along the way in this blog. I hope you'll like what you and I create together.
In the longer term, I hope that this project will be a proving ground for new generic collections, and that parts of what we create will inspire Microsoft to add new generic collections and algorithms into the core .NET base class libraries.
