Lewis Frazer is an Elizabethton native and ETSU alumni. After graduating in 1986 from East Tennessee State University with his BBA in Business, Lewis began his career in the audit division of Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP in Knoxville, TN. From there he moved on to become the Corporate Controller at Kel-San, a distribution and supply company, also in Knoxville, TN. After leaving Kel-San, Lewis joined Regal Cinemas, a motion picture exhibition circuit, and progressed from within the Accounting and MIS departments to become Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
While at Regal Cinemas, Lewis led the financial, accounting and MIS functions of the world’s largest and fastest growing theatre circuit with 1998 sales of $800 million and 400 theatre locations. Lewis’s roles also included pursuing and negotiating mergers and acquisitions, establishing and maintaining relationships with both senior and investment bankers, and all aspects of public equity and debt offerings. He also led the company through the initial public offering in 1993 at an implied company valuation of approximately $80 million and was responsible for all the financial aspects of a publicly traded company for six years until the company was sold to two leveraged buyout firms in 1998 for $1.5 billion.
Today, Lewis is a co-founder, President and CEO of Wintellect, a software consulting and education firm that provides developer training, consulting and debugging services throughout the world. Wintellect has been recognized by Microsoft as one of their top three recommended training companies for Windows products.
