Steven Porter is the Technical Director of Consulting responsible for successful project delivery and the consulting team. Steve has been developing, primarily with Microsoft technologies, for the past decade. He is a 3 year MVP awardee in Client Application Development focusing mainly on Silverlight and WPF but all kinds of things like mobile architecture, HTML 5, and ALM are sprinkled in.

 

Prior to Wintellect, Porter worked in various positions at Connecture Inc., starting first as a Senior Developer and later working as the Senior Developer/Architect. While at Connecture he worked on a variety of projects in .NET 2.0 and ASP.NET including (but not limited to) the architecture and implementation of base solutions for high-profile clients; guided implementation of ATLAS on multiple projects; design and development of a document generation/fulfillment engine supporting plug-in engines utilizing dynamic assembly loading; implementation of the core use of Microsoft Enterprise Library; implementation of the company’s test-driven development (TDD) strategy; and development and implementation of custom ASP.NET membership and profile systems.

 

Before joining Connecture, Porter served as a Senior Developer for the Georgia Professional Standards Commission/Department of Education where he architected and developed TeachGeorgia.org, the Georgia Public School’s job posting website.

 

Porter has a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Devry University.
