One of the benefits of being selected as a Microsoft Valuable Professional for 2008 was a package that contained some Bluetooth accessories. The most interesting was a MoGo Mouse BT. It's a slim mouse that sits in your PC Card slot where it charges. Below is an action shot of the mouse in action. (No, that's no my hand. This image is from the manufacture's web site.)

Having used a Microsoft Notebook Presenter 8000 for ages, I didn't think I would ever use the MoGo Mouse. I stuck it in the PC Card slot to charge and promptly forgot I'd put it there. After a week or so, I started digging through my laptop bag to pull out my usual mouse and noticed a slight green glow coming out of the PC Card slot. Since I just needed a mouse for a short time, I popped out the MoGo Mouse. After a painless pairing with my Lenovo X60 Tablet, I got to work. After ten minutes of real use I realized that the MoGo Mouse is far more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. In fact, I haven't pulled out my Microsoft mouse since.

One feature I particularly appreciated about the MoGo Mouse was that it powers off after a while so you don't waste its battery. Turning it back on is as simple as pressing one of the buttons. The one feature I would like is a scroll wheel, which is an option on the MoGo Mouse X54. I might just have to plunk down the money to get that scroll wheel.
