Course Overview

This course provides a look at how Microsoft technologies such as Entity Framework and Web API can be used with the AngularJS SPA framework to build rich, scalable, and responsive web-based applications. This is a condensed and accelerated version of our 4-day AngularJS End-to-End SPA Development course. The class begins with an introduction to building Single Page Applications (SPA) and discusses the features AngularJS provides to support this application type. From there, students learn how to build a repository layer using Entity Framework, expose data to clients using Web API, and consume data in a Single Page Application using AngularJS.

Key aspects of the AngularJS framework are discussed such as views and directives, controllers and routes, as well as factories and services.  You will learn about debugging techniques and tools, how different AngularJS components can be customized and shared with other components, and the different JavaScript patterns that can be applied to make your applications more maintainable. By the end of the class, students will have walked through the process of building a Single Page Application (SPA) from end-to-end using Entity Framework, Web API, and AngularJS, and will be ready to immediately apply that knowledge at work.
