Day Of Developing Power Apps Portals is an intensive 1-day workshop with hands-on labs designed to get students up to speed on designing and developing Internet-facing websites using the PowerApps portal infrastructure. This course begins by examining the PowerApps portal architecture and explaining how a PowerApps portal uses the CDS to track the data required for creating and managing website content. Students will learn to use the Portal Editor to create pages and author content.
The workshop examines how to prepare a PowerApps portal for a production environment by configuring a custom domain and authentication support for external identity providers including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Students will also learn how to configure portal permissions for authenticated users and for anonymous users making it possible to create web pages that allow users to see and update CDS data using Entity lists and Entity forms.
The course introduces students to the development by explaining the role of web templates and page templates. Students will learn to write web templates and author page content using the Liquid template language. Along the way, attendees will also learn how to set up and work with the essential PowerApps portal developer tools including the XrmToolBox.
